Medical Assistant positions not only pay very well, offer flexibility, stability, and paid training, they also offer a chance for promotion within an industry that is more than happy to invest in talented people that take pleasure in caring for others.
Medical assistants work with doctors to offer patient services and care in private offices, outpatient clinics, hospitals, and other medical settings. As a consequence, medical assistants get cross-training in administrative and clinical tasks. A Medical Assistant’s typical day may involve answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, updating medical records, filling out insurance paperwork, arranging tests and referrals, in addition to routine accounting tasks in a clinical environment.
In a clinic, medical assistants may accompany patients to exam rooms, take vitals, assist during exams, do basic lab tests, and educate patients about treatments, medicines, and other physician-directed recommendations. Medical Assistants wear several hats and work with almost everyone on staff at a medical clinic or hospital unit, including doctors, nurses, office managers, billing professionals, lab technicians, and, of course, patients.
A Medical Assistant’s overall purpose is to sustain and compliment patient care under the supervision of a physician, usually via a unique blend of clinical and administrative activities. It is a rewarding job that offers flexibility, good earnings, work life balance and stability. Look at these outstanding job offers that pay well and offer training as part of the package.
