Invest in an Electric Car Today and Save Huge Amounts on Petrol Costs While Protecting The Environment.
Electric cars have grown and developed, and the best models provide all of the functionality and practicality of traditional gasoline or diesel vehicles while emitting zero exhaust emissions and having the potential for very low day-to-day operating costs. As demand grows, more manufacturers are offering fully electric rather than hybrid models across a wide range of car classes, both large and small, mainstream and premium.
Driving Electric Vehicles within eighteen months of purchase will make up for their higher manufacturing emissions and continue to outperform gasoline vehicles until the end of their lives. In an era where petrol prices are ever increasing and the security of such fossil fuels continues to be at greater risk, electric options make more and more sense for the consumer.
The Average Electric Car on the road today emits the same amount of greenhouse gases as a car that gets 88 miles per gallon, far more than the average new petrol powered car at 31 mpg or a commercial van at 21 mpg. Take a look at some of these fantastic deals available in 2023 and drive away with a great Electric Car today!
If you choose the top-tier Performance model, your Model 3 will have lowered suspension, a subtle carbon fibre boot spoiler, and Uberturbine 20-inch alloy wheels, making it look lower, meaner, and much more sporty.
If you’re just going to the store in your Tesla Model 3, you won’t be concerned about range, but the Long Range model can manage around 360 miles between charges if you’re careful. Charging from empty takes about 12 hours when using a dedicated wall charger at home, but you can charge the Model 3’s batteries from 10% to 80% in as little as 35 minutes when using Tesla’s 120kw public charging points.
Performance models lose a few miles of range, only covering 352 miles between charges, but they’re much faster. Accelerating from 0-60mph takes as little as 3.1 seconds, compared to 4.2 seconds for the Long Range version and 5.3 seconds for the Standard Plus. This means it’s faster than almost any other premium saloon on the market, as well as many much more expensive sports cars.
RRP £45,990 – £59,990
If you want to make a statement, the EV6 is a good choice. It has a distinct face, wide haunches, and a sloping roof, and the curved light bar around the rear end may remind you of an Aston Martin DBX. The Kia is one of the most affordable options and starts at just over £40,000.
There are two things that set it apart from similarly priced alternatives. The first is its astounding maximum charging rate of 350kW. If you can find a charger that can do that, you can add 62 miles of range in just over four minutes. Speedy! A vehicle-to-load (V2L) system is the second clever feature. In layman’s terms, this means the car’s charge port can power household items like a kettle or microwave, as well as charge another EV. That’ll come in handy if the power goes out.
Currently, a 229hp rear-wheel drive EV6 and a 325hp four-wheel-drive EV6 with a 77.4kWh battery are available. The lower-powered model is claimed to have a range of 328 miles, while the more powerful EV6 is claimed to have a range of 316 miles. If you have a 7kW home charger, charging your EV6 from zero to 100 percent will take about 10 hours.
RRP £41,695
Choose the mid-level Q4 40 e-tron and you’ll get the large 77kWh battery. That means you get the maximum possible range of 317 miles and a ride that is brisk but not particularly fast. Even with that much power, however, it’s not a lot of fun to drive – it’s more calm, gentle, and sensible in the Audi tradition. Even the all-wheel-drive 50 e-tron quattro isn’t particularly exciting. If you want sharp cornering combined with electric power, check out the Ford Mustang Mach-E or the ever-popular Tesla Model 3.
As with most electric vehicles, the real-world range is significantly less than what is advertised. It averaged 3 miles per kWh, which gives you about 231 miles between charges, which isn’t bad at all.
Prices for the Q4 e-tron start at a reasonable £40,035 for the base 35 e-tron in Sport trim. A 50 e-tron quattro in Vorsprung trim will set you back £64,355. Audi is banking on its unrivalled badge appeal to entice buyers, and the Q4 certainly looks and feels more upscale.
